For precise microscopy, the thickness of the cover glass is crucial. High precision coverslips 1.5H (170 ± 5 µm) correspond exactly to the standard thickness of 0.170 mm, to which most research-grade objectives are corrected. This ensures optimal image quality without spherical aberration.
