Inert Adhesive Spacers for Light Microscopy
Catalog Numbers:
ADS-18-12150-20 (20 pcs)
ADS-18-12150-100 (100 pcs)
AD-SEAL SQ18-12-150 adhesive spacers are precision-cut, non-transparent adhesive rings optimized for fluorescence and light microscopy sample preparation. The SQ18 format indicates an outer square shape of 18 mm—designed to fit standard 18 mm cover glasses. The ID12 specifies a 12 mm internal diameter, which defines the central imaging area for your sample. Thick 150 denotes a 100 µm thickness, corresponding to the BLACK color line, easily visible under a microscope for orientation.
These spacers maintain a uniform space between the cover and substrate glass, or between two coverslips, protecting delicate biological specimens from compression and capillary forces. This is especially important for imaging larger or 3D samples such as oocytes, organoids, or embryos.
The adhesive layer provides a secure seal, enabling the use of liquid, non-hardening mounting media like AD-MOUNT product line without additional sealing steps. Once applied, AD-SEAL helps prevent medium leakage and maintains sample stability during imaging.
